Camping Litchfield National Park
Litchfield Safari Camp is located
just four kilometres from Wangi Falls on
the western edge of the award winning Litchfield
National Park - the perfect base for touring
the Park and its stunning attractions at
any time of the year. Litchfield Safari
Camp is a great place to relax after a day
of sightseeing and adventuring. Set in natural
bushland, the camping areas and caravan
sites are spacious, shady and fully grassed.
The facilities are immaculate and well maintained.
Relax and revitalise in our spa pool after
a hard day of adventuring. Swap stories
with fellow travellers around the barbecue.
Or just lie back and try to count the stars.
You can even catch up on all that washing
you have to do! The safari camp offers a
range of camping options including powered
or non-powered sites for caravans, motorhomes
or campers and a coach camping area. We
also offer safari cabin accommodation for
up to four adults. See facilities for more
details. In just a few minutes you can drive
to an amazing range of waterfalls and swimming
holes created as the water plunges from
the escarpment that runs through Litchfield
National Park.
Take in the shady rainforest walks and
stunning escarpment views. See the incredible
fields of magnetic termite mounds, or visit
the awesome rock formations of the Lost
City (4WD only). You can even take a wildlife
cruise or fishing adventure on the renowned
Reynolds River. Or a helicopter sightseeing
flight! Many of our guests say they need
at least 3 days to see it all. Others stay
a week and add relaxing to their itinerary!
How
to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Each
cabin is carpeted with large insect screened
windows, doors and ceiling vents providing
cool, airy, comfortable accommodation for
up to 4 adults. All cabins have a bar fridge,
tea and coffee making facilities, 240v lights,
power outlets and fan. The cooler nights normally
experienced in the area usually ensure a comfortable
night with only a fan to assist air circulation.
Tea and coffee making facilities and BBQs
are available. The cabins share the many other
facilities at the Camp (see above). Agile
Wallabies try to keep the lawns mowed around
the cabins, the caravan sites and camping
sites but they do need to receive some mechanical
help from time to time.
